Looks like a poor report card at halftime : Review of the performance of the company and its principal subsidiaries For the first half of 1999, the Group Pre-Tax profit was $354,000, a reduction of 26.7% from $483,000 for the first half of 1998. However when compared with the second half of 1998, the first half of 1999 showed an improvement. Unfavorable exchange rate fluctuations continued to impact profit margins. The Group vigilantly carried out cost cutting measures to alleviate the adverse impact. Group turnover for the first half of 1999 was $35 million, a reduction of 15% from $41.3 million for the first half of 1998. Contribution to turnover came from core businesses namely voice, data networks, system integration projects, and I.T. services. |

Thanks, Oldman, for bringing this to our attention. I was contemplating to buy but held back today, awaiting for some feedback on company. However, I heard that Kep T&T might be keen to have a stake in Teledata. Any comments, please ? |

Teledata just held an analyst mtg on Sept 1 and there are slides at this presentation, but i can't see to attach them here. However, what came across in the mtg was that the company is looking to raise funds probably some time next yr and is hoping that its results will show a modest recovery this year and a good growth picture in FY2000 and FY2001, with earnings next year likely to surpass the pre-crisis net profit of abt $5m. The outlook for Teledata will probably start looking upbeat over the next 3-6 mths and this will facilitate a rerating of share price and a cash call. |

Teledata recently held an analyst briefing and what came across at that meeting was that the company is looking to raise funds probably some time next year. They are hoping that its results will show a modest recovery this year and a good growth picture in FY2000 and FY2001, with earnings next year likely to surpass the pre-crisis net profit of abt $5m That means the outlook for Teledata will probably start looking upbeat over the next 3-6 mths and this will facilitate a rerating of share price ahead of the cash call. This stock has all the major names in the IT and internet world as their clients, and they are currently weaving a strategy to help them capture the .com fever raging across Asia. I have bought some of the shares and watching the warrants for a cheaper entry level. Just my 2.5c worth |

A rebound is imminent. Amongst penny stocks, Teledata has been one of the hardest hit in the recent sell down. A ranking of price performance on the local bourse over the last two weeks shows that Teledata corrected by nearly 30% in just 14 days. This is the 9th sharpest percentage fall amongst all stocks listed on the Singapore market. At the current level, Teledata is trading at a prospective FY01 PER of only 15x. Given the sharp and quick fall in share price, Teledata has the potential for a technical rebound. There is evidence of a slowdown in selling pressure as the stock draws towards its support trendline at $0.62. Stochastic and RSI are in oversold territory and both are turning up and moving out of oversold territory - a healthy sign. We expect a rebound to the 10-day moving average soon. All signs are pointing a rebound to the resistance level at $0.72 in the short term. Fundamentally however we feel that fair value for Teledata is about 90 cts. Teledata is expected to announce a good set of results during the week starting 20th March. |

From Asia Stock Watch website of 14/3/00: ASW met with the management team from Internoc Holding nv, Hoofdorp, The Netherlands this afternoon. Mr Jan Hagens, the chairman, shared with us his roadmap for the company in this high growth sector. About the Joint Venture Internoc tied up with Teledata (Singapore) Ltd to set up a joint venture in 8 February 1999. Teledata has a 49% stake in this venture and Internoc is the owner of the remaining 51% stake. The joint venture involved the setting up of a network operating centre (NOC) for the Asia Pacific region that is housed in Singapore. This is part of a strategic plan with three key time zones offering 24-hour remote network support. Apart from the Singapore centre, it also has a main centre in Amsterdam. The next centre in the US will complete the three strategic NOCs. With this structure, the company can tap on more global clients as its centres can offer 24-hour support. Our Take Remote network management and consultancy services -- the management and maintenance of corporations' IT networks by specialised external parties -- is a very exciting field with high capital investment and in many ways very similar to a lot of the Internet initiatives -- high capital investment and losses in the initial years, but potential for exponential growth once the traffic builds up. While the initial capital investment is very high, to the tune of USD50 million in Europe and some SGD1.5 million in Singapore so far, the investment to develop the technical team is estimated to cost even more. However, this is crucial as the IT network industry is poised to record strong growth with the increasing push for more outsourcing of network management functions as well as the rapid advent of Internet and electronic commerce. According to sources, the network outsourcing market is estimated to be excess of USD6 billion. In Amsterdam, its services are offered and connected to 120 countries. The company is also considering shifting its listing to another exchange if need be. Management is also on the look out to acquire companies with the abilities to complement its operations as well as in web-hosting and e-commerce. The latter is more in the area of managing IT infrastructure or services. So, what is the impact for the local joint venture? Having already established itself in The Netherlands after three years, the learning curve for the Singapore joint venture operation is likely to come off sharply. As such, while the first year 's revenue is projected at SGD1 million, the infrastructure is already in place for them to secure new clients or to ride on its existing clients to build up its orders book. In addition, the company has already trained a team of 6 technical people to man this operation and is confident that once the infrastructure is integrated with the US operation, it can tap on more global clients. What is the impact for Teledata? While this venture is still in its infancy stage, the potential appears exciting. We expect there to be more areas for joint collaboration both in the networking areas as well as in e-commerce. Internoc's management also hinted that if the jv takes off, he would not discount the possibility of a listing. The stock rose strongly this morning and is currently trading at SGD0.925, up 10.5 cents or 12.8% (high of SGD0.99 and low of SGD0.81). This is based on market talks of more exciting developments and positive new flows from the company. Based on our visit with the management team of Internoc, we are positive that this is one of the more exciting developments in the company. About Teledata Teledata is a player in the Asia Pacific telecommunications sector. It specialises in voice, data, video communication products and services. The group has staff strength of more than 350 with an international network of offices in India, Pakistan, Myanmar, Russia, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. It was listed on SESDAQ in May 1994 and was upgraded to the Mainboard in July 1997. About Internoc Holding nv It is a supplier of remote networking and system management and consultancy services. It is listed on the Belgian stock exchange in February 1998. The company was founded in 1996. Currently, it employs about 400-500 people. |

Hi Dale Innocently bgt sml at .66 .655 then those cowboys came in to play the "dead rat" and push it to .615 close yesterday and then try to push it below .60 this mrgn. You can see very clearly that there's no geniune market interest except..you know...stockists etc etc Then I muscled in at .60 to .605 and threw everything back at them at .625 , and now I hv nothing left. I share this humbly and wish to say that be very carefull now that the playing field is more unlevelled against potatoes like me. It's a "who dares win" kind of market. |

This counter deserves a good look with a strong turnaround story and most importantly in the right industry - system convergence not just system integrator. Growth will be exciting and robust in the coming year. At 64 ct, PE maybe a bit on the high side but it may be another CSA in the making. Stories are cooking on a possible sale of the business to a foreign telco. It has been a day trader favourite punt. Technically, note that it is always a dip followed by 2 rebounds. I believe it will close above 70ct in these 2 trading days. Some small interests. |

Warren, Here's an old report from my broker. 18 February 2000 Watch out for TELEDATA Looks like exciting times ahead for Teledata as it outlines its roadmap in the high growth telecom industry today. Teledata will officially launch a tie-up with telecom company Internoc of Netherlands later today. Internoc is a worldwide supplier of remote network and system management and consultancy services. Teledata which has a 49% stake in the venture will work with the Dutch telecom giant to service the Asia Pacific region. Internoc has a portfolio of quality global clients and Teledata stands to benefit from its international network. Teledata shares are trading at an attractive PER 20X for 2001, below its competitors of about 25X. We are of the view that Teledata's multiples are undemanding given its exposure to the exciting telecom industry which is currently in favour. |

For those with vested interest.....some good news .....email from a friend. BTW I have vested interest . TELEDATA (SINGAPORE) LTD - BUY A good turnaround story S$0.64 COMPANY BACKGROUND Teledata is a leading player in the Asia-Pacific, specializing in voice, data and video communication plus security products and services. It provides “total solution” strategies in software/hardware configuration, installation, maintenance, commissioning, turnkey project management and consultancy. HIGHLIGHTS · Excellent recovery story set to ride the IT boom. The company turned around from a loss of $1.3m last year to a $1.1m profit this year. · Well-positioned to benefit from the growing trend of outsourcing network management functions. The tie-up with Internoc holds great promise here. · Prospective FY00 and FY01 PER of 24.6x and 20.0x are undemanding considering that comparables are trading at prospective PERs of over 26x. TECHNICAL COMMENTARY Teledata is well supported by the trendline support at 62 cents. The channel resistance and the 10-day moving average forms a credible resistance at 67 cts. After failing to meet the channel support, we believe that the outlook is bullish for Teledata. Bullish divergence signals are beginning to emerge on the RSI while the stochastic is on the verge of recovering from oversold. Though MACD is turning up, its present value below the signal line reinforces our view that 67 cents is still a significant resistance. |

Teledata (Tele) - Licence Winner?... SB Don't know if anyone noticed, under the "Services-based Operator (Class) Licensees" category, which incidentally is the same category as IPO aspirant, Innomedia and Mediaring.com, we find the name "P2P Tel Com". Recall that P2P Comms was Teledata and NatSteel's blotched attempt to have a cellular license. They decided not to accept the license when U.S. based telco, GTE Corp denied that it was part of their consortium. That contradicted P2P's filing submission with TAS (now IDA). NatSteel has said that they now longer have anything to do with P2P. Teledata mgt was not available for clarification. Second time lucky for Teledata? View: SPECULATIVE BUY (SB)... Technical levels: 1.50, 1.20, 1.11, 0.90, 0.70-0.75, 0.59 Watch this space for updates... |

Prettywoman, Bringing u the power of internet.....got this short write-up abt Pretty Woman.... -------------- Pretty Woman wasn't always so pretty. The original script (entitled $3,000) featured a heartless corporate raider who offers a drug-addled prostitute three grand to escort him for a week. In the end, he pushes her into the gutter and speeds away, leaving her to shriek obscenities. With Disney's blessing, director Garry Marshall rewrote the script as a Cinderella story and renamed it after the Roy Orbison song featured in the film. Anyway, tis' for u... SouthPark The Dude |
