Companies getting too greedy, all doing placement, cash call, sell vendor shares, sell new shares, IPOs like money is free. So next time don't ever trust companies raising money. Most time you will get burnt. Observing one minute silence for the fallen heroes today and yesterday. |

Blood everywhere with many unable to pick up and caught....just as I predicted...and it is going to get much worse as there is an enormous share over-hang. I suggest avoiding. I am stuck with DBS bought at 15.30 so I am also caught but no point in averaging as it it is like a falling knife. Now NOL fund raising is going to dampen sentiment further as the market asks which counter is next to make a cash call  |

Do not despair. Learn from your lessons. From the chart, at this point of time, most investors are at a loss at where the market is heading. But from what I see (others are welcome to share their views) from the chart, tomorrow STI needs to hold above 1700 which will depend on US market tonight and if on subsequent days it falls below 1700 (which means it does not constitute to a false break) it may trend down to 1600 where at this level it is considered to be a very strong support level.
Remember at this point of time, technically the index is still above the 50days MA, the index for the past three weeks have failed to cross 1800 for the second time (the last time I would not consider it as it did not even hit 1800) and it is forming a cup shape. I am predicting that at this point of time (regardless of how STI will perform tomorrow) that it will probably trend sideways after tomorrow for a time frame of one month or less, before making its next decision to go up or down. I do not link the bear right now to STI yet at this point of time, technically and econically, they do not point to a bear yet and the result is still unknown. I am still looking for US market to hit 10,000 and 2000 respectively, and I am still curious how come they have not even hit the resistance level and they are going down??? So what do I do? Even weather has its four seasons, what goes up will come down and what goes down will come up, if your counters are fundamentally sound companies, have trust in your counters. And yes uncles and aunties or people who have big appetites, subsequently please do not chew more than you can eat. |

If US markets can maintain or up tomolo we might still see a support of 1700 points, if down another half a percent we will see the next level of 1650 by end of this week. |

if you look at the daily/weekly STI chart, 1698 is sitting on the upward trendline down from 1200 in late april. In fact, if we dont bounce tomorrow and end above 1700, STI has gone to the dogs !! So it is important that this level has to hold. |

Take a step back guys... In this money making
spree many forgot to concentrate on the fundamentals, buying into shares where the PE was sky high.. concentrate on the shares with good fundamentals, high dividends. You may not make loads of money overnight .. but in this market its either this, shorting (I doubt if it will continue much longer) or moving to commodities... So be brave and where possible transfer funds to companies with strong fundamentals. Sober thoughts |

Amos...UAE is a very safe place, you can walk 3am alone in the nite and not be afriad. So i m ok but Saudi is a diff story. Cant mention politically issue here lah... The market was reacting to Mogan Stanley's remark that it was overpriced.NOL aggravated it with placement shares.Market needs to ride on a roller-coaster, It can never go down to a bottomless pit nor can it keep shooting the sky without taking a brake.Prices will fall to attractive level for picking and accumulating. I bet MS is picking some stocks and soon she will annouce that it is overweight.Right now it is consolidating and good to nibble with holding power.Buy when panic folks are dumping.Contra players should watch by the side or be burnt. |

Yes, this is a good sign that the mkt is still okay as the local and overseas earning reports are still coming in with healthy profits and directions going fwd and guidances are still good. This morning STI opened with an uplift despite U.S. mkt having a slight down slide.

actually it is really not difficult to know when to buy or sell IF you do not have a preconceived idea that you can only LONG shares. Explore the short side as well and even if you dont short, you will roughly get an idea as to when to buy. |

delone, it is really not difficult if you put your heart and mind into the market.
who doesnt lose money, i lose money too but the important thing is to be humble and to learn from it. Some claim to have traded shares for 7 years or more but at the end of the day still learn nothing from it and lose all the hard earned money. It is not how long you have traded shares but how much you pick up when you trade the shares. |

Chicken hearted never won fair maidens, so to speak. A drop of a massive 43 pts yesterday had provided ample opportunities for those who missed out to gain a cheap entry point.
The chicken hearted will say: "I'll wait for a pull-back when the index was around 1800... Then came 1750 and the chicken hearted boldly say, "wait another 50 pts"... Then yesterday dropped the massive 43 pts to 1700, the chicken hearted again says "There's still room for softness..." If the chicken truly believes in what he feels - that the mkt will drop some more - instead of comments which are cheap and costless like those whores commenting openly about nothing in the backlanes, then he shd open a short position and SELL like a true BEAR. In my opinion, those BULLs and BEARs are the real braves and those chicken commentators, GAYs... hohohohoho! |
