These terrorists have chosen the Ramadan days to commit acts of great sins. The first time which one har - the Bali bombing?, the second one in Turkey and now the 3rd one in Iraq. They think they are glorifying the Ramadan, they are committing sins many folds.
Commit sins plenty folds Pity their souls Don't know where they will go, Hell beckons their souls No amount of words can be told Of their sufferings, scream their souls (kopi rice of Jos) |

those losses were many yrs ago well actually about 4 over yrs now no worries got bullets can punt up to a million or more got reserves standing by .... those were great learning periods money easy come easy go .... tot was king when making money in a bull run and then ......
I think the king is when after the bull run is over you are still able to make a good return .... best to avg it over yrs and look at avg annual return ..... anyway never put all your money in stocks never know when low is how low or high is how high got profit happy better returns then bank |

This market is hopeless. Have been shorting on every rebound. Gains are good. Feel sorry for the longists. The ONLY way to make money is to short. Short while prices still high high. |

Shorted more for solid gain in the afternoon. DJ MARKET TALK/SG: Mkt Volume Slows To 105M Shrs 24 November 2003, 11:07 1107 [Dow Jones] Trading slows to crawl before Hari Raya holiday, with volume a mere 105 million shares so far; lackluster trade sending STI down 0.4% to 1649, just below 1650 psychological support, as sellers find few takers for shares. "There is nothing to perk up sentiment with traders still nursing their contra losses," says dealer. Selling may speed up after lunch as foreigners get out before holiday. Initial support for STI at 1630, bringing it back to mid-September levels.(EYG) |

Fong, Thanks. Market now too narrow range-bound for any meat.
Me sitting side-lined for most of last week, and most likely this also. Market still quite bearish, but i think bottom is not far from here. May start to nibble near end of the week, depending... Cheers. |

Too risky to short now as mkt seems to be nearing bottom. Risk over gain is too high. For example, those who gave shorted Metro last Friday without covering would have ended up with a big loss today. Mkt is slow today but, I do not see too many shortist.
Just a friendly observation. |

US futures are beginning to turn up. Hope it can get to the positive region before 5pm. Then we can all look forward to a strong close and a higher base on Wednesday. Wednesday would be a good day assuming no disasterous events takes place.
Many exchanges having holidays this week... Japan close today. Malaysia/Singapore close tomorrow... Seems that its holiday too for US on Thursday. |

I believe loss-making techs such as CSM and DC should see another 10-20% fall. I have been shorting the duo, waiting for more gains. Not an inducement to short or buy ok. |

This holiday-shortened week will very a very quiet week. Fall could be drastic with the absence of buying support. Given the huge volume transacted last week, I am confident of handsome gains this week. |

When prices are not responding to excellent earnings news, you should know that shorting is the best strategy. I have been shorting those reported results, good or bad, in the past month. This strategy works well for me. |

ET4,
Yes it is thanksgiving... Something taken from cnnmoney... "NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Thanksgiving is waddling its way toward us, and if history is any guide, that should stuff some cheer into a Wall Street that needs it badly. The Thanksgiving week is typically good for the stock market. The Wednesday before and the Friday after the big feast have put together gains in the Dow Jones industrial average for 41 of the last 50 years. Often enough, that marks the beginning of a rally that takes the market into the end of year. .... " Good luck to all. |

Yawn... end of a dull session.
Going to have a good dinner and hope we dun get any terrorist attacks these couple of days... NASDAQ futures are now +6.5pts... Dow +31pts. US has a bad habit of not being able to sustain opening gains though... Still got one day of uncertainty to deal with.. Sigh. Too late to do anything though. Hope for the best on Wednesday. Not sure but i do know sth if you couldn't contra off today and if its due date is today the forceselling should be on tuesday but mkt is closed and those whose due date is on tuesday would have it shifted to wed and therefore double the usual amount of dues on wed including forceselling which would normally be primarily be contucted in the morning or around 3pm unless paid up by 9am on wed so ....
the vol done last teusday and wed is the highest for the week and given not much volume today forceselling therefore may not be completed today would they do it on wed morning??? |
