From UOB kay Hian site
SPH fell on profit taking after recent sharp rallies. The stock shed 20 cents to $19.20....... My comment From the time sales we can see that this stock traded all day around the range of $19.40 to 19.60. The stock was dumped down at the preclosing from $19.60 to close at 19.20. Doesn't look like a forced sale as this would have been cleared earlier. I am no expert in the market, just another tourist along for the ride. But isn't anyone interested to know if this trade (along with a few other strange ones at the preclose) is just to push down the STI. Maybe I am being naive, but is it ok to push down the STI. Are there no rules against this or people who look into these types of transactions. Wow I think this is my longest posting ever. |

Oh yeah, another comment, why do the UOB Kay Hian reporters/analysts not make any comments of this anomalous (if that's a word) closing. Is it a normal occurence (I don't think so). |

Jos, if it can keep an even keel for today I would consider it a good result going into a holiday eve.
Look for more upside friday and next week. |

Get real guys. Market is BIGGER than everyone else.
Moreover, there is the "Fear Factor" of any undesirable event that can possibly cause the market to decay. Of course if it were to rally big time, i'm happy for everyone who made money. Patience is Golden. |

Someone once said, "Rain is a possibility, to carry an umbrella is a precaution". Its satisfaction to make good money where yield is superb from a bullish stock market. But how many actually learned to keep the money made. Its sad to throw back good money at bad money.
Make hay while the sun shines. But keep still when one has to. Addiction to the market is self-destruction. Just a passer-by. No offence to my remarks guys. |

Agreed that it is good to be cautious. Do you think the market is overbought at the moment or does the risk of terrorism keep you from entry. |

So I guess you are feeling that the market is overbrought at the moment and that fear (of terrorism) is not a factor for you. |

Of course fear (of terrorism) is an important consideration not only to me, but for every avid and zealous investor. The gist of investment(within safety perimeters) is to invest prudently.

I noticed many here buy and HOPE (with a wistful yell of "cheooooong ah") for a rally.
That's not prudence. That's deadly! Again, Patience is a unique Virtue, and its GOLDEN. |

Today market should surge forward.
For the whole of Nov, the volume has been very low, this reflected the investors cautiousness. Now that most companies has reported exceptional good profits and government has confirmed recovery intact, we should expect investors to pour in. |

TAC first distribution point will be at around $1.46...chartered around $1.58...beware...but foresee TAC will break above $1.62 (next distribution point (by end of year)...also chartered at next distribution point $1.70...good luck and beware |

safest high beta stock to buy are those who crash down recently...such as ST Assembly (support at $2), NOL (support at $2.10)...these two are high beta stock with strong fundamental...though the cash rise will have some overhang, but the strong earning growth will push it up (forsee by new year ST Assembly will be $3 and NOL $2.70)...good luck...chartered still risky buy though gain good (got risk of cash call)... |
